Hite Cove 2001


These amazing walls were built by Chinese laborers around 1860. The Pack trail run to Hite Cove, April 20-22, 2001.

Friday night it rained and snowed. Saturday, rain threatened. Sunday dawned clear and warm.

The Kelty Sunshade was the perfect rainy-day entrance to the tent. Little Berkeley slept in the Cherokee with Dolph. The rain and heavy snow brought these trees down across the road. We're loaded up with firewood for the Saturday night fire.
